Update Your Java

To use Blackboard 7, you must have a recent version of Java (also known as Java Runtime Environment) installed on your computer. (We recommend using the current version.)

To see if Java is installed on your computer (and to see if your Java version is current):

  • Go to http://www.java.com
  • Click on "Do I have Java?"
  • Click on "Verify Installation"
  • If you see a message that you are NOT using the recommended version, follow the prompts to download and install it.
  • When the installation is complete, be sure to RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.
