Blackboard 7, which Durham Tech began using in Fall 2007, makes extensive use of Java.  If you do not have it installed, or if you have an old version installed, you will likely encounter numerous difficulties using the Discussion Board, taking online tests, checking your grades, etc.  We recommend installing the most current version of Java on your computer.
