Assignments

The Assignments tool provides the following for instructors and students:

  • Instructors can easily collect student papers or files (such as documents and pdf's)
  • Instructors can use the Turnitin feature to check student submissions for plagiarism
  • Instructors can grade submitted student papers and files online
  • Students can see their Assignment grade and instructor feedback online, at anytime

  • How do you grade Turnitin Assignments?
    • After setting up your Turnitin Assignment following the instructions above:
      • Click on Assignments, under your Assignment title, click on Grade.
      • You'll see a new column for each student submission. The column is located next to the Grade column, and is called Turnitin.
      • Below the Turnitin column, you'll see a colored icon representing a Turnitin Report; or "no report", if a student didn't submit the assignment.
      • After you click on a student's Turnitin Report, you may have to click on Accept, to access the student's report.
      • Next, a new browser tab will open, and by default, will display the Originality Report.
