Virtual Learning Community (VLC)
Of the NC Community College System
The Virtual Learning Community (VLC) is a consortium of all NC Community Colleges that works with community college instructors from across the state to create Blackboard course content that any college can download, modify, and use.
Several hundred courses have been created and more are being developed. To see a list of all course titles, visit the VLC Course List: on the NC Community College System web site.
To preview these courses, follow the directions below for visiting the VLC's Blackboard server. Then, if you would like one loaded on Durham Tech's server for your use, please contact bbadmin@courses.durhamtech.edu.
To preview the VLC courses on the NCCCS server:
- Go to: http://ncvlc.learnnc.org/
- Login with the following:
- username = vlcguest
- password = vlcguest
- username = vlcguest
- Click on green "Courses" tab (upper left area) then click on a category to see a list of courses.
