Known Issues/Solutions for Students
Problems Posting in Forums
- ISSUE: Some students report various problems when trying to post in the Forum. For example, you may experience one or more of these problems:
- When you click the Post button, nothing happens, and you have to click it again;
- You receive an Error message;
- You have to try several times to make a post; or
- When you start a new post or reply, the box contains text from an earlier post.
- SOLUTION: You must clear your browser cache to resolve this problem and to prevent it from happening again! For a full clear of the cache, follow these steps:
- Log out of Sakai
- Clear your browser's cache - see instructions for clearing the cache in most any browser
- Close out of the browser completely
- Re-open the browser, log in again, and things should work fine.
IMPORTANT:
- You must clear your cache, or you will run into the problem again!
- Clearing your cache should solve the problem so that it does not recur. However, if you use another browser or computer, you may have to clear the cache there as well.
