Is Polling available?

• Yes, Polling was just released September, 2015. The moderator/presenter prepares their questions and answer choices in a document, such as on PowerPoint slides (mixed in with your regular presentation slides), saves the PowerPoint as a pdf, then uploads the PowerPoint in the presentation area.
• Moderator/Presenter slides can contain questions with answers in the following formats:
  • Yes/No
  • True/False
  • A/B or A/B/C or A/B/C/D or A/B/C/D/E or A/B/C/D/E/F
• For example, your polling question on your slide could be: Is the Sky blue?
  • Your poll answers listed on the slide below the question could be: (True/False)
• Once you display your polling question slide in the presentation area, you'll click on the polling button next to the presentation upload button, then pick the type of answers you provided for the question, such as: True/False
  • Your students will see a button for each of the answer types you chose; for example, they can click on either the True or False button.
  • The presenter will see the results of the poll on the presentation slide:
    • The number of students who picked each answer will be displayed, along with a percentage, and a message "Waiting for Responses"
  • When ready, the presenter can click on the Publish button to publish the poll results for the students to see
    • The presenter can write on the poll results using the whiteboard features available in the presentation area
    • Or the presenter can close the poll so the students don't see the poll results.
• The moderator/presenter can add as many poll question/answer slides to your presentation as you like.
• Here's an example of how to add a polling question with three answers (A/B/C) on a slide:
  • The polling question could be: What color is the sky?
  • The answers could be listed:
    • A. Blue
    • B. Red
    • C. Grey
  • Once you display your polling question/answer slide, click on the polling button, and pick the type of answers A/B/C
  • Students would see three buttons, one for A, B and C that they could click on
  • The presenter will see the results of the poll on the presentation slide and can either publish the results or close (delete) the results
