Sakai Meetings for Students
Meetings (also called BigBlueButton) is a web conferencing tool in Sakai that instructors may use to hold "live" class meetings online.

What kind of device and browser do I need?
A desktop or laptop computer is preferred, if you have it.
- Use Chrome or Firefox as your browser
- Edge and Internet Explorer are not supported
You can also join using a mobile device
- Use Chrome browser on Android devices
- Use Safari browser on iPhone/iPad
Do I need a headset or webcam?
- You do not need a headset or webcam unless your instructor requests it.
- It’s important that you have speakers so you can hear sound. (Make sure the volume is turned up so you can hear it.)
- If you don’t have a working microphone and need to say something, you can type in the Public Chat area.
- You can also join by phone if needed.
