Browser Tips

  • Access Sakai by opening only one browser in one window. Avoid opening multiple browser windows and tabs in Sakai.

Sakai Navigation

  • Use the navigation links and buttons within Sakai. Avoid using your browser's back button.

How to Return to a Tool's main screen

  • Use the Reset button Resetbutton.png
    • Click on the reset button (blue arrows to the left to the tool name). Clicking the reset button will return you to the tool’s main screen.

Sakai and Time-out's

  • Every 30 minutes: Save or Submit: You must click on Save or Submit when working in the Sakai Text Editor or while typing text in the Assignments, Discussion Forum/Topics, and Tests & Quizzes. You can work in Word and copy and paste the text into the Sakai Text Editor, or attach the Word document in Sakai.
  • Note: If you save something, it is in draft mode. Only you can see the draft. You must return to it and Submit it, before your instructor can see and grade it.
