About the Sign-Up tool
Sakai's Sign-Up tool allows instructors to provide a place for students to sign-up "online" to meet for office hours, review sessions, or other types of meetings, in an easy-to-find location, on your Sakai site menu. Advisors can use the Sign-Up tool in their advising project site as well. There are three types of meetings that can be created:
- Single slot meetings: Students can sign up for only one timeslot, such as 9-5pm
- Multiple slot meetings: Students can sign up from a variety of time slots, such as 12-12:30, 12:30-1pm
- Open meetings: Students don't register for these sessions, it's more of an event announcement
Basics / How to
- Before you can set up your Sign-Up sessions, you need to add the Sign-up tool to your course menu using Site Info-Manage Tools.
