Minimum computer requirements
- Hardware: You must use a laptop or desktop; right now, you can't use tablets or smartphones
- Software: Use the latest versions of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
- Media: If you're going to talk during the meeting, use a headset, otherwise you can just "listen" and use the chat area to post questions
- When you join a meeting:
- Meetings will give you a prompt to let you know that you must give your browser permission to get to your meeting.
- Meetings will allow you to test your audio and choose your microphone (if you have one).
Instructors and Presenters only
- You can not only use Firefox, but can also use Chrome (or Edge or Safari) to share your desktop.
- To share your desktop, you must have Java installed: Test Java or install Java on your computer.
- If Java is not working after you install it, you may have to remove old Java versions, activate Java in your web browser or enable the Java Plug-in in your web browser.
