What is Sakai Meetings?

Meetings (also called BigBlueButton) is a web conferencing tool in Sakai that some instructors use to hold "live" class meetings online.

What kind of device and browser do I need?

A desktop or laptop computer is preferred, if you have it.

  • Use Chrome or Firefox as your browser
  • Edge and Internet Explorer are not supported

You can also join using a mobile device.

  • Use Chrome browser on Android devices
  • Use Safari browser on iPhone/iPad

Do I need a headset or webcam?

  • You do not need a headset or webcam unless your instructor requests it.
