Allow a student to take a test after the due date (or retract date) has passed

If a student missed a Test or Quiz (Assessment) and you want to open it up so that only she/he can take it:

1. Click on Test & Quizzes
2. Click on the Published Copies tab
3. Click on the drop down box to the left of the inactive assessment; click on Settings
   1. Change the settings so that the dates available match what you want to provide for this student
   2. Set up a username and password and give them only to this student.
      1. The username as well as the password must be one word, and should be lower-case, such as test3.
      2. Do not create a username or password with two words, such as "Test 3". Why? It won't work!
   3. Click Save to save the changes you made.
   4. When you are done with your edits, click "Republish" or "Regrade and republish" (if there were submissions that could be affected by your changes).
   5. Click Republish

Why create a username and password? This allows the student who missed the assessment to take it without opening the test up to the entire class.
